Flying in Slowmotion
Mid January flying in a magic sunset.
...the whole sledride flight i had the strange feeling that somebody had stopped the flow of time as we floated slowly from our takeoff in around 1900m down to the valley floor. The light was pure magic and i am really impressed by the cine- like images the gopro cam managed to capture in these extremely challenging light conditions. After a few months of flying speedwings exclusively a paragliding session feels a little like piloting a hotair balloon - especially when staging extremely close air2air shots like in this video you need to be extra cereful not to overestimate the maneuverability of your wing in relation to the other wing. I used a slightly overloaded factor 19 (small high performance wing) - which is already a relatively maneuverable wing - but still had to concentrate in order to dial in the slowed down reaction speed of this wing compared to the 11sqm speedflying wing i was so used to... All in all a fantastic day 2 remember - orange / yellow wings flying through a winter sunset are hard to beat for visual appearence ,-) ... "
